The Maryhill Group Practice are looking for a salaried GP to join their practice.

About the role:

We operate as a friendly, motivated, and well-organised practice, functioning seamlessly as a team to support one another in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Currently, we are in search of a dedicated salaried GP to join our team, which comprises five partners, eight salaried GPs, and eight advanced nurse practitioners.

Our practice boasts a large and supportive multidisciplinary team, inclusive of pharmacy, first contact physios, occupational therapists, dementia and frailty nurses, mental health and wellbeing practitioners, women’s health nurses, and a well-integrated, highly functioning district nursing team. Unscheduled care is managed by our duty team, with a designated duty doctor for each session to efficiently separate scheduled and unscheduled work. As a training practice, we facilitate continuous learning through a weekly Journal Club for clinicians, annual study leave, and an informal Friday Breakfast Club. Private health care is offered extended to all our staff members with competitive options for their families to join the scheme.

Enjoy lunchtime walks or runs directly from the practice door into the local woods or along the river. Located in Elgin, Scotland’s smallest city on the beautiful Moray Coast, we offer a picturesque setting with beaches, mountains, and outstanding golf courses right at your doorstep, all while serving our 22,500 patients in a semi-rural catchment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Provide comprehensive medical services to our diverse patient population.
  • Participate in both scheduled and unscheduled care, contributing to the efficient functioning of the practice.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through ongoing learning initiatives.

 Qualifications and Requirements 

  • Medical degree and GMC registration.
  • Completion of GP training and eligibility for inclusion on the NHS Grampian National Performers List.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
