We’re seeking a dynamic Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) to join our dedicated team within the DGH and NHSG Regional Theatre Academy.

This is a pivotal role in Practice Education infrastructure across NHS Scotland, helping to cultivate an environment of learning, development, and lifelong growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the DGH MTS Senior Charge Nurse and Lead Educator to provide tailored support, education, and professional development for students, newly qualified nurses (NGNs), New Graduate Operating Department Practitioners (NGODPs), and perioperative practitioners in their postgraduate phases.
  • Champion lifelong learning by assisting learners and mentors in completing NES perioperative programs and competencies.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate engaging CME professional development sessions aligned with a structured annual programme.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive clinical learning environment where continuous education is integral to practice.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of practice learning and the development of the future perioperative workforce, in line with both local and national directives.
